Re: 2011 Commit #1
He may need to be groomed a bit but remember he still has another year of highschool ball to play. Continued weight training, conditioning and practice on footwork and balance. He will be much more prepared and ready when he arrives on campus. Just his listed size and strength is impressive for this program. Maybe he, or other early commits, will be an early graduate like O'Guin and get to campus early.
Re: 2011 Commit #1
I like this signing. I'm not sure that he is the same caliber as O'Guin was, but it sounds like he has great size and strength. I'll be interested to see how many stars this kid ends up with. Let's get some DT's now coaches!!!!

Not to rain on any parades but i actually judge powerlifting on the weekends and after looking up the amount of weight this kid was lifting he is not even close to a top powerlifter. I doubt he even made it out of his district to the regional meet. Not to say he is not strong and wont get stronger but as of now he is not lifting that much. Here is where he stands in the Super Heavy Weight Division in Texas and this does not include kids that are in lower weight classes. Scroll down to ranking #236.

I assume that is the list is for all high school students. I would expect Chris to make some nice gains in the next year and to be in a decent position regarding his strength. I don't think those numbers are too concerning. Based on his comments on Rivals, he seems focused and hard working. Let's see where he is this time next year.

Re: 2011 Commit #1
I was just going on what pony pride said about him being one of the top power lifters in the state. I certainly think he is a good prospect that will no doubt get stronger. But as of now he has a ways to go in competing in power lifting.
