I personally would go to bat for Rice, they had one blip of success a couple of years ago and they could turn it around. Tulsa has never really done anything in football, they have no history, they got a small stadium, they are in a small town in Oklahoma, sure they put together a couple of years where they could compete in C-USA, but they really bring nothing. I would love both Rice and Houston, but I think we should stick up for our Owl buddies whenever possible. Lots of history with those guys.

Ditch the dead weight. I have zero desire to be linked athletically with that school. They suck, have sucked, and will continue to suck. They're students are weird, co-ed talent is sub par, and their faculty hates the athletic programs. Get us as far away from Rice as is possible.

I don't totally disagree with that statement, but I think they bring more to the table than Tulsa if we had to choose between the two.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the "rivalry" we have with them, and want to beat them every year, but in conference realignment terms, I don't want to get left in the cold because we wanted them to come with us.
