At least we're not

Baylor......

or Kansas State or Kansas for that matter (If you don't know whats been going on at KU do a quick google search)

But at least KU and KSU still have solid BB teams. Sure Baylor has rebuilt nicely, but as soon as the BIG XII is gone, so is their winning BB program.

I mean wow, Baylor got by all these years with a terrible program, and continued to pull in unearned money. I guess they would argue being the whipping boys of the big XII was earned. But they got paid 7.1 mill in 2007 from TV revenues.... what did their football program do to earn that?

L @ TCU 27-0
W Rice 42-17
W Texas State 34-27
W @ Buffalo 34-21
L @ AM 34-10
L CU 43-23
L @ KU 58-10
L UT 31-10
L @ K State 51-13
L Tech 38-7
L @ OU 52-21
L OSU 45-14

they had their chances. reading some of their posters complaining just makes me laugh. what makes me luagh even harder is the fact that some of them are trying to convince themselves that they will be better off. That if they go to a non-bcs conference they will be able to out recruit TCU... I mean some of these people are delusional

Just in case you haven't noticed, there are a few delusionals hanging around here, too.

What do you mean we are not Baylor? We were Baylor 14 years ago. Crummy football and respectable in other sports. We didn't have 14 years of gravy train cash to build a program. Instead we killed any chance we had via the Pye model.

The question is will Baylor screw this up as bad as we did 14 years ago.

One, unless Baylor can help us, then I don't care what happens to Baylor. It isn't my problem and I don't have any financial or emotional interest in the Waco Wonders. I pity them but any fool that remembers what happen to TCU, Rice, and SMU in the mid 90s knew Baylor was next to be ignored.

The difference is Baylor has two models to study when it comes to post big time conference survival. They can take the high road towards futility like SMU did or they can take the high road to success like TCU did.
