Quick Ticket Sales Question

Postby ShakeAndBake » Sat Jul 03, 2010 12:42 pm

When do individual game tickets go on sale? Also, will it be tough to buy tix for the SMU/TCU game without season tickets? Thanks!

Not sure. When I went to ticket master, they had an option for them to notify you when tickets are available.

I doubt you would have any issues whatsoever getting a ticket to the SMU/TCU game.

I wouldn't wait until the last minute. 30,923 for the last trip. Unless SMU stumbles out of the starting gate (Tech, UAB, Wash St) this one should sellout with about 8-10,000 Froggie Fans. TCU has Oregon St, Tennesee Tech and Baylor to open.

Ok, just making sure I wasn't missing something. The only ones I've seen online are pretty outrageous right now, so I was hoping to just get them directly from SMU. I'm a former student who no longer has the luxury of free tickets with a student ID!

Raw cost for Mustang club seats in section 104 or 204 are $76.66 per game per seat if the owner bought 4 seats. If the member purchased only two seats that cost is $113.00 per seat per game.
Prices on stub hub that I have seen our cost.

You wont have a problem-parents are not going to go to SMU game rather than go to high school game to watch thier child compete on friday night in football, band, drill team, cheer, volleyball etc...

Just curious, what percentage of fans do you think either have a hs event that night or are parents of someone who does? It sounds like you think it will have a major impact.

O, I'm no SMU grad Mestengo! The school and I never really got along so I'm headed elsewhere to finish my degree. Diehard SMU football fan though and this will be the only game I will most likely be able to attend!

Yeah, ESPN money & exposure really screwed up a nice football weekend for me.

My #24 Longview Lobos are playing the #2 Abilene Eagles in Plano that Friday night.
SMU game starts at 7, 30 minutes before the Lobo game, so I may have to play like I'm a student
and leave at half time to go back up to Plano.
May the forth be with us.

If SMU fans don't fill it up-TCU fans will. If SMU is 2-1 and TCU is 3-0 there will be an overflow crowd

Agree. This will sellout. Already know a lot of non-alums (mestengo excluded) looking forward to attending that game.

Get the word out. Less purple, more red & blue.
