Like Bobby Johnson at Vanderbilt just did. This is very, very strange:

From Saturday Down South:

If you’re reading this, then you already know: Bobby Johnson resigned from Vanderbilt. Bobby Johnson. The coach. Football. Yeah, that old looking guy that wasn’t really that old. No one really knows what happened, we just know that two months from the season opener, the Nerds are left without their head Dork. All is not well at Bean-Counter U

Rob took his nerd leading skills to the Camelot of Nerdland, Vanderbilt University, in 2002. In 2005, Bobby and Jay “Frat Daddy” Cutler brought smiles to the dozens of Vanderbilt fans across the globe as they almost beat Florida. After hazing a whole load of pledges back at the Frat house, Jay led his team to a decisive victory over the Volunteers of Knoxville, a win that the players recount at the annual Goldman Sachs family picnic.

Since Vandy is projected to finish 3-9 and probably has the same recruiting hurdles we find in place here, perhaps not so strange after all. :?

Here is the whole article Goodbye Bobby Johnson

Ouch! It's going to be a rough season at Vandy, which is saying a lot.

Ha! June seems like a pretty smart guy who picks his spots. I think Vandy might be more "challenge" than he is looking for.

They don't even have an Athletic Department...

No athletic department, but much success at Vanderbilt

June would pulling his few hairs left out and would probably have to take a pay cut to go there.

Oh and I'm sure JJ would prefer Nashville over Dallas.

Watch Phillip Fulmer jump back in the SEC game with Vandy!

Bobby Johnson is a class act among SEC coaches, but this is an impossible job. Timing of this smacks of Johnson knowing that he was going to retire from coaching but wanting to make sure his former "[deleted]'t Head Coach" got an opportunity to see what he can do as Vandy's HC

Yes - - Vandy starts the season in 5 weeks. They have to play the Sigma Chis and the SAEs to gear up for Northwestern.
