Could UAB become a trap game?We are all gearing up for Tech as I am sure the team is. But, 6 days later we face UAB who, except for the QB position, is supposed to be improved. The have a 9 day lay-off.

Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?UAB = 6764 fans . They don't deserve to be n CUSA
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?UAB might be better at a lot of positions, but QB Joe Webb was all they had last year. Losing him will hurt.
With that said, this is a definite trap game candidate — we're not good enough to overlook anyone. I really shouldn't drink and type.
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?UAB is a little bit of a mystery with 12 or so JUCOs

Re: Could UAB become a trap game?i don't think we are good enough to have "trap games". not to mention, we had to score with 4 min left in the game to beat UAB by 2 pts last year...
i don't think that game is a given win by any stretch of the imagination
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?...and bottom dwellers Rice and Tulane at home. We aren't talented enough yet to take any one for granted. I do think by 2011 we are going to better.

Re: Could UAB become a trap game?JJ said that UAB had some of the best talent in CUSA. I differently think it will be a hard game for us and a most win early in the season. Conference win and our first home game. We need to show winning at home last year wasn't a fluke. The good news is that will have faced a quality opponent the week before.
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?yes, no game is easy for us. as people have mentioned, we were extremely lucky to win some of the games we did last year. hope we'll have more fans this year for a real home field.
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?
They weren't the worst last year. Memphis had a reported 4,000 and many said it wasn't 400. We, however, don't have room to criticize. I have sat in an absolutely empty Cotton Bowl and watched us beat Fresno State.
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?
......................................................... The UAB program is the worst NCAA FBS venue is the United States. If you have been to 30 or 40 Stadiums including the bottom dwelling Mac schools. You would know that with out a doubt I speak the truth. And while they very well may have some top notch discarded Bama players I believe the only thing about that place that’s great is their logo. Burn down that Stadium and do all of Alabama a favor. It’s really sad. Did I mention the crowd?
Re: Could UAB become a trap game?Coach Jones said last year that UAB was one of the most if not the most physical team SMU played last year. So I don't think they will overlook them at all.
