WAC tournamentHow is the tournament set up? Does the 10th place school (SJSU) not make it and 8 and 9, us and Tulsa, have a play in game for the 8th seed? I cant remember.
I found it. So I guess we will play Tulsa at 11:30pm on Tuesday. If we win that game we will likely face UTEP on Thursday. I really believe we have the talent to beat anyone in the WAC if we play loose and up to potential. I promise you that UTEP does not want to play us on Thursday. This could be an interesting week/weekend.

After losing the previous three championship games, last year, Tulsa advanced to the NCAA Tournament with a win over Nevada, 75-64. New Mexico, Utah, BYU and Wyoming won this tournament twice each when they were members of the conference. San Diego State and UNLV captured the tournament once each when members of the conference.
We've shown we can beat Tulsa. The guys seem to be playing with a new aggressiveness now that Lineburg is running the team, and it seems like the emotion level of the team is much higher. With that said, even a poor team like Tulsa is very difficult to beat three times in a single season.
You're right - we could beat UTEP. But it would take an extremely strong effort. Which is exactly what I'm counting on (not that I'm overlooking Tulsa, of course. First things first....)
