if those conference mates were in Big 12, I agree with you.

But if you are boosting up a SMU, Houston, Utep from C-USA to MWC , they'd be crazy. MWC is closest to gaining AQ status, and even without it they are the most respected non-big 6 with two top ten teams in the conference. Why help another texas team and have to share the spotlight. Same reasoning big 12 doesn't want tcu or houston.

The argument could be made, however, that since we (smu/tcu)play each other every year anyway, why not get us in the league and then they can schedule another OOC opponent to help get to BCS game.

What is TCU really going to do? I mean where would they go that in their minds is an improvement over the MWC? The answer is nowhere. Nothing is up. TCU doesn't hold the power in that conference some of you think they do.

CUSA may not be an improvement but it is a plausible landing spot any time TCU wants. At a time like this, you really dont think that the MWC remainders would make a concession to keep TCU happy? You really think they want Nevada in particular that badly to [deleted] off a real asset like TCU right now? thats crazy talk. Now if TCU approved Nevada rather than Houston, I think they're nuts and very shortsighted. Nevada? cmon. they were DII not long ago.

yep, ive always thought that TCU could end up their with Louisville and Cincy, if the Big12 didnt call. the Bigeast needs to strengthen its football resume to stay AQ
