In our defense, stealing the Grove was necessary and done for the betterment of America. It was being wasted on Mississippi women. We had to bring some beauty and class to the concept.

We played in the Rose Bowl. We have something like 6 NFL Hall of Famers. Doak Walker was the first junior to win the Heisman. SMU had the first scholarship African American in the SWC. SMU is located in a real city in a state that is the only state in the union to be its own country.

SMU claims three national championships: 1935, 1981, and 1982. And we have ten SWC championships: 1923, 1926, 1931, 1935, 1947, 1948, 1966, 1981, 1982, and 1984 (shared with Houston).

Is Ole Miss proud to call themselves Rebels after many of the Rebels supported black slavery?
Why do black people attend Ole Miss when they go by the Rebels?
Does it mean that those blacks support black slavery?
Ole Miss would do better as the Mustangs.
Or maybe the Oxen because Oxford does mean the place where the oxen cross the river.
Is there even a river going through there?

Didn't they steal their last quarterback from Texas? And our colors...Harvard Red and Yale Blue...while we did steal them from another school, we aimed a little higher than Ole Miss.

I believe the preferred, politically correct term is now "man-made disaster makers". We wouldn't want to offend ANYONE'S delicate sensitivities.

A+

And when it comes to the "hand signals," the two following paragraphs are from espn.com (who recently ran an article on the topic:

PONY EARS: "Cheerleader Roy Bailey introduced SMU's Pony Ears in the 1970s, not long before Hall of Fame RB Eric Dickerson brought the Pony Express to University Park. Now, when the fight song "Varsity" is played, students and players raise their Ears and circle them around their heads for each year they've been in school."

HORNED FROG: "TCU didn't adopt a signature signal until the early 1980s, when head cheerleader Chad Schrotel invented the curled index-and-middle-finger salute. Some fans say the flexed knuckles represent the horns of their mascot, SuperFrog. Others suggest its shape comes from the motion used to playfully jab -- or "frog" -- a classmate."
