I really and truly have a pathetic record of picking the Mustangs. Every year I get caught up in the hype, I make a sunshiner prediction and we bomb. So last year, I purposely made no prediction, and just look what happened.

So... Even though I won't make a season prediction, I would like to go out on the limb a call for a W in the Navy game.

I know that Navy is supposed to be terrific this year, but I think we're too athletic for them (finally). Our offense is going to score, as will theirs. But our DLs are big and athletic -- I believe they'll be able to control the line of scrimmage. And our LBs can all flat out run sideline to sideline. So I think we match up very well defensively from a personnel standpoint.

So there you have it. My one fearless prediction for the year. Ponies 34, Midshipmen 20

We had a great run last year, but in a lot of close games, we had the ball bounce our way more often than not. Seems like all the bad karma from the last 20 years had reversed itself. We didn't really have a dominant performance until the Hawaii Bowl.

I think 6-6 is realistic unless Padron can maintain the exceptional performance level he played at during the Hawaii Bowl. Then you never know, sky's the limit.

I have been saying since January to various people that I thought SMU would be a better team and finish with the same record. I will stick with it and say 7-5.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Will you use my painting of Lauren on black velvet as your avatar if they do better than 7-5?

Yeah, I don't know I will do for an encore. I had Kathy for years. It never really dawned on me what would happen to Lauren after the season.

Agree with the General: 7-5. This team is a year away from winning the conference.

9-3 regular season...what the hell...might as well give in to my inner Tigger. I've been an Eeyore on this football program enough.

And General, you have officially fallen off the wagon.

Bump so that everybody could see how their sock drawer predicitions came out.

I guess some of us who made these predictions should have qualified them through the first 12 games.

Very cool to be playing the first weekend in December.
