Once again for the record-I LOVE PERUNA, I have a picture of him on the shelf beside my desk. His duties have not changes ONE bit, if they do, I would join with you horse nuts, that just love to keep this stirred up. The MUSTANGS lead the team from the buses at MUSTANG PLAZA to the stadium, I am there to participate in the walk, (are you?) I will be in Lubbock as I am with almost all road games, to cheer our MUSTANGS on, will you? I have a strong feeling that Stallion, is going to bail on this huge season opener against two teams he has degrees from. How do I know this? Because the very few times Stallion has made a road trip, he post it, over, and over, and over again, to make sure everyone knows he's actually going to a road game. Big mouth has been very quite about this trip

FWIW Stallion openly posted that he would be on his annual cruise this week. He also posted when he left a day or two or three ago. I do not know if he will be back before the game or not but that is why he is so quiet now.

Now gelding lovers please let me know why one of you can request the gelding posts be moved to the other area but my request that this thread be moved is ignored. This one does not have anything to do with football.

He already said he was going on a cruise, I thought.

The athletic department, with their glorification of the new horses (Mustang Plaza Walk, several ceremonies including the one last week, putting the new horses on that wall in the Ford Stadium club level and not Peruna), etc. is pushing Peruna aside. They are the ones who are stirring it up.

You may think that you are a better fan than I, than smu diamond m, than couch 'em, but you aren't. I've been to SEVERAL SMU road games, as have the others I've mentioned. I don't make a big deal about it, and neither do the others. Why do you?

FYI, I'll be in Lubbock, cheering on the team.

Don't ever try to insinuate that those who protect SMU tradition are not true SMU fans again.

Whatever. I'd vote no, though. You could argue the Boulevard issue, but trips to FOOTBALL games sound eerily football-relevant.

Look, I'm sorry — I didn't mean to start a controversy here. Let's not argue about this. The mascot stuff is still on the other board. But the webbies have plenty to do without babysitting this griping.

The place one sees Peruna "around the hilltop," usually, is AT a "football" game. Leave it on the football board. Peruna IS SMU football.

Like it or not those two horses just signed a two year extension! Ha Ha.
