PonyFans.com interview with Ja'Gared Davis

Postby Webmaster » Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:59 am

Personally, I still don't think the Mustang D gets all the respect it deserves. I guess that happens when you've been bad in the past and you play in the pass-happy CUSA. But I think one thing everyone agrees with is that the defense made great strides last year after coach Mason switched the Ponies to a 3-4 defensive scheme and some new faces began to emerge as stars.

One of those bright spots, without question, was true freshman Ja'Gared Davis. Even playing undersized as a freshman, by the end of the year there were flashes where Davis literally took over games, playing havoc with opposing offenses. Back for his sophomore year, and having added 20-some pounds, Davis talks about his improvement, his fellow linebackers and preparing for Texas Tech.
"It’s hard to overstate how impressive SMU has been on the recruiting trail since the ACC announced the Mustangs would be joining the league”

Cutter must be sick or something. He did not make a comment 10 seconds after the video was posted.

(self-consciously posting....)

I'm kinda shocked.... he is sooooo mellow for someone who creates such havoc on the field.
great interview.
thanks.

People keep talking about 70,000 at Tech, the stadium holds 61,000 max, and you can bet there will be some no-shows. Pony Up!

I like his comment about 'they gotta block us...we don't have to block them'....he sounds like he is anxious to hit someone....TT .....deal with Ja'Gared!
