It's the weekend, and I'm drinking!!

Gophers had the darn stinking football for 45 minutes and they have to recover a fumbled kickoff to put the thing away. Oh, well. Just glad they won. You know, it's like better than losing.

I don't have great expectations for them. But the cool thing is that on Oct. 30 -- when SMU is at Tulane -- I'll be in Minneapolis when they play host to Ohio State. I'm really looking forward to that and see Pryor play. I'm going to make it a yearly thing to honor my dad in this way.

Ponyboy, you'll be interested in knowing that I have a picture of my dad in uniform in WWII. He was a corporal in the Air Force. And I have his discharge papers. Really, really cool.

But I'm looking forward to 2010 to see what the alma mater can do. If y'all want to drop by to say hello at the UAB game, I'm in 205 in row 2 behind the SMU bench. I'll be escorted by to amazing young ladies who are now in 6th and 4th grade. Where does the time go?

As I have said countless times, the greatest gift he ever gave me was finding a way to put me through this extraordinary institution.
