Tech sent SMU 692 tickets for this game, and as of Tuesday, only 210 were sold, about 30 of those to students. 100 tickets will go to the band, and a small amount of comp tickets to players parents, I had three conversations with our ticket office this week, including today. I don't know where you got 400 students from?
Click the link. Facebook page for a group of students going out to Lubbock. They may have bought tickets through Texas Tech, I don't know.

Damn, not good.....you would think more would come to cheer fellow students on...what about the Frats and Sororities? WTF do they do? I guess as they win more it will become more acceptable to follow the team. For 25 years it wasn't a priority.......it takes time to alter the culture.

Hate to contradict, but that's just 400 people who clicked a button on Facebook. Kinda like that online poll saying 1100 people voted. Plus, I noticed a bunch of TT folks on there. Now, I would love it if 400 students show up...in fact, my next drink will be dedicated to those kids. God bless 'em.

Didn't look too closely, so thanks, but I can use that as proof that 400 students care just as much as Alex can use that other poll as proof that 1100 don't. I do know of a group of students that is going out there though. I don't know how many are in that group, but I know there are quite a few students who are making the trip.

I have, and I'm one of the fans listed as going, if you know our roster, you'll see most of our football players, managers, staff etc.. are on that list also. Listen, we are on the same side, I wish there were 400 students going, but, all I can do is give you the actual facts and sales numbers. Pony Up!

Convergence journalism website; unlike the Daily Campus, the DM staff have to take journalism classes
That's hard to believe, considering they use stories like this: http://www.smudailymustang.com/?p=27899

You really think the same kids who show up at the end of the first quarter and then do a rats-leaving-the-ship exodus at halftime are going to drive to Lubbock? It's hard enough to get them to Ford Stadium.

There are probably more SMU students going to the game as Tech fans than as SMU fans.
