McGuffie (sp) is a heck of a player. It's the nerds vs the thugs.

Second half is going to be really interesting. Would love to see Rice kick some butt and the whorns go down in flames. :P

Announcer mentioned SMU game as one he wants to watch......with June Jone bringing back 9 starters he'll be flinging it around......woke me up - had to rewind the TiVo.

Anymore? How long has it been since rice was an automatic win for us?

Rice is NOT good. UT looked bad, and Rice was still inept. If you stop the run against Rice, they've got nothing.

I expect to break the @Rice streak this year.

Texas looked uneven and inconsistent today. Gilbert made some bad throws. Rice standing the Horns on the goal line?

I figured UT could lose three games this season, I didn't see anything to change that.

I think it's safe to say we're in trouble if we don't.

the little bit I watched of this game told me Rice was pretty stout; I was particularly impressed by the goal line stand. Methinks all of CUSA west is getting better

I think that this game is a bit deceiving. Yes Rice looked better than last year, but the Horns helped them look that way. There were several highly ranked teams that struggled yesterday. Florida's offense was pathetic against Miami (OH) as they only had 26 yards of total offense at the end of the third quarter. Oklahoma struggled to finish off Utah State, a team that I think we'll all agree is something less than a powerful opponent. It's too early to be saying Rice looks stout or that Texas is weak. First games often go that way as the kinks are being worked out at game speed. The only team that I saw yesterday in the top 10 which looked like a dominant team was #1 Alabama which clicked on everything, defense, passing, running, and special teams. Let's focus on taking care of our business and waxing Rice when we get the opportunity later this year.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
