After 20 Years of Watching Bad Football

Postby Statler » Sun Sep 05, 2010 11:10 pm

A lttle scattershooting at the Overton after an interesting day....

Although not into "moral victories," it did feel good to see our team come from behind twice by 21 points to make a game of it.

We were fortunate to have seats on the West side, the Saharan desert on the East side must have been brutal.

Tech still showed their lack of class by booing during the M Band's playing of Varsity.

The SMU alumni band puts the Tech alumni band to shame. It looked to be 200 folks in their alum band...and that's all they got?!?

The news tonight said something about 140 degrees on field - true?

In regards to fans, after we scored and were going for PAT I saw several cups in the end zone - obviously thrown from stands. Anyone see this?

Let's always win with class.

I think they were referring to the temp at the level of the turf...sort of like standing on hot asphalt...you can feel the heat coming up through your shoes.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

That's what they were talking about. I saw 126 degrees (someone on the Tech board posted that).

Now that the Tech game is over, I am done dealing with the Raiders until we play them again. Some of the most classless fans in football.
