Why did they keep showing that portly water boy?

Mr. Davie "Great call to go for it on 4th down here"

after the fumble, "Mike Leach was known for gambling but that was just a stupid call to go for it on 4th down"

Second most annoying thing: The length of the game. ESPN's commercial breaks were ridiculously long. And the breaks between the quarters were even longer. Don't blame it on all the passing, the blame goes squarely on ESPN. I really felt for those folks broiling in the stands while ESPN ran promo after promo.

Even at home, it's hard to maintain 100 percent interest for four hours and waiting through all those long breaks. College football will never address this issue unless people stop showing up or tuning in, but it really hurts the quality of the product.

It was worse sitting in the stands waiting for what seemed like 5 min. breaks every change of possession. The teams would be back on the field ready to go and have to wait a one or two mins. The TV exposure is great, but it is killing the game. A team gets a little mo going and it is time for a timeout. I guess a double edge sword.

Because they were talking about the importance of his job--hydrating the players. THey told what he was mixing for the players to drink to help keep them from dehydrating.

Just saw SpotsCenter Top 10.

Shows #10 Szymanski 61 yarder (clearly in white /red with red pony on helmet) --
the SportsCenter announcer saying "a school record for the REDRAIDERS"

Then on #3 (DJ one hander) all they say is SMU v Tech. No mention it was an SMU receiver, etc.

They provided the correct player details on the other 8/10.

Glad we got on there twice and no TCU.

The shots of the idiot ringing the bell still made me laugh. As did the fact that he wears rubber gloves while doing so.

ESPN look-back at the game

A fair assesment of SMU and will take that from Davie....not sure of the importance of the Potts switch of jersey numbers from 15 to 12 (or the other way around) being that important though..??
