If Patterson had done at SMU what he has done at TCU he would be the greatest coach ever hired here, and we would erect a statue of him. Even though he sweats a lot.

I would say that Patterson has been one of the Top 10-perhaps Top 5 Coaches in Division 1A Football over the last decade. Check out his record against BCS schools who have every recruiting advantage over him.
