Good game vs Tech as we at BU know all about 1 score losses to tech the last 2 years. I like what JJ has done with your program and look forward to our game next year.
Good luck the rest of the way and hopefully we can both upset the froggies.

Thanks. Glad Big XII didn't unravel for your sake, but UT will cause problems again. They call it entitlement, others call it hubris. Pony Up

in 4 years, baylor will be in CUSA. they know it too. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Props from a Baylor fan
I think its stable as long as ESPN has an interest in keeping UT from Fox & the Pac 10. I don't think the Big Ten wants to go to 16 so we are probably good unless that happens. UT, OU, & company assumed a B12 without NU was dead from a revenue and exposure standpoint relative to the SEC, Big Ten, and Pac 10. They stated they wanted to remain the whole way but obviously they will not stay in a depleted league so they had to look around. I find it no coincidence that as soon as the exposure & money were there they pulled a 180 in less than 36 hours. As long as the money/exposure is there UT will stay as they won't be able to match the travel, control over their own affairs, and in league rivalries they enjoy now. ESPN has a vested interest in keeping UT & OU happy financially, so we have stability. If they had left it would have hurt both BU and SMU. The forgotten 5 would have kept the bcs bid (per ncaa bylaws I can post if need be) so we'd likely raid the MWC (F5 much better than the bottom of that league and bcs make jumping to us a slam dunk) and maybe big east leftovers as they would be out of a bcs bid if fewer than 5 remained (UL CINCY would have been the likely targets there). Those leagues would have attacked your own in turn and SMU's position would likely have been hurt as well. Glad BYU didn't stay in the now 10 team MWC for your sake. CUSA West would be worse without UH no matter who you replaced them with and the MWC would go to 12 to get money to help stop the financial bleedout they now suffer without the BYU/Utah draws. You guys have a chance to get more exposure than MWC teams and really elevate your program as ESPN will need more west/sw programming as the WAC is absolute crap now. They'll have BYU and Hawaii and........ nothing. Lots of opportunity for good CUSA west schools to get exposure. Thanks for the kind reply and best wishes this season. Please take UH down a few pegs.
Re: Props from a Baylor fan
Really depends on Mizzou. If Mizzou is left out of the Big10/SEC (where I don't see either taking them or going to 16 right now) we have 5 leftover and would keep the bcs bid so we'd reload. NCAA Bylaws- 6 teams with 2 year continuity of membership 2 year grace period to return to above criteria if you fall to 5 D1 schools. Falling to 4 is goodbye bid. So if Mizzou is left out we reload. The five said they'd stay together as the BE would be a lateral move (revenue and bcs wise) for the north schools with more travel and non-football scheduling headaches. If Mizzou was gone we'd be with you guys which would be a blow from where we are but being in a division tha is the closest thing to the SWC other than the B12 south is certainly not the worst thing that could ever happen. I like your league and think the west is a good fit for the teams there. I honestly don't see the B12 splitting unless the B10 goes to 16 as I explained in the reply above.
Re: Props from a Baylor fanThanks Sammy...constructive not destructive critisism is ok on this board.....Good luck this year.
Re: Props from a Baylor fan
Sure thing. You guys are building a solid program and I have a lot of SMU alumni in my daily life and I am happy you guys are coming back. Ford Stadium and the boulevard are great too. Granted our schedule is tougher than your 2009 slate, but I am optimistic we can pull off a bowl run this year like you guys did last year.
Re: Props from a Baylor fan
Sadly, ESPN doesn't like Hawaii anymore. This season ESPN is showing Hawaii only *once*...and that was probably more because USC was playing and the game was moved to Thursday at ESPN's request. It seems like ESPN is showing every Boise State game *except* the game in Boise against Hawaii.
