Does this mean that they are going to make the walk to the stadium this year down the boulevard instead of the path between Moody and Ford? I guess the geldings (they belong to the team you know) will walk with the players and Peruna with the band.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Where it should be.

Only bad thing about that is, the walk, is two and a half hours before kickoff, we don't have that many fans there that early.

We usually get there about 4 hours before kickoff, to start setting up all that stuff! Pony Up!

Since the time is so far before the game, how about some kind of walk or recognition AFTER games (provided we win). Everyone is in such a great mood after we win.

He is right about the excitement. My Fr. daughter called last night. Said there was a real exciting environment. She thought the alum Mustang Band was there playing fight songs which added to the experience. She said the students were looking forward to the game as well.

And she sounded thrilled to be a part of it.

Who wants to stick around to congratulate a bunch of smelly guys when one can head to a frat house at half time and guzzle beer?

It's wonderful that your daughter is feeling the excitement----that feeling has been missing for much too long. My 17 year old, who basis his college preferences by their football team's W-L record, wore his SMU sweatshirt to school Tuesday. I was like.........a sweatshirt, really?.......and his reply was that it is so cold in the classrooms. He then told me he really needs a SMU cap....so he has one now!
