It's frustrating because the one element of the game (passing) that was supposed to our strength is our weakness. I am not sure if you can be *too* calm in the pocket but Padron doesn't seem to be making reads, just looking at 1 or 2 wr's.

He's looking good on his feet though

Didn't all of June's QBs at Hawaii do it?

I bet that's an extra thousand yards he's running a game.

Fumbles, overthrows, and dropped passes.

Are we sure this isn't the first game?

Yes, they all did. Colt Brennan said that JJ's didn't just give him the play, he would go over certain reads for the play and even tell him which receiver would be open based on what he expected the defense to do. With Padron being so inexperienced, I think that the encouraging words and advice between plays is even more important than the experienced QB's JJ had at Hawaii than still ran to the sideline on every play (aside from 2-minute drills).

This defense's pursuit is amazing, I hope the offense doesn't waste their effort.

Good Lord. What a roll on the UAB punt.

75 yard punt. SMU ball at their own 1 yard line.
