I usually agree with that theory. I just can't get myself to root for Rice in any fashion. Must be something about only being around since post-DP.

I always pull for the conference; would have loved to have seen Rice upset Texas, but nice to see them beat an improved UNT team

I agree with this completely. I was rooting for Rice, and I was rooting for Marshall. Like one of the announcers said at the end of the VT/James Madison game... "This is really going to hurt Boise"

I want every conference team to win every game... except ours. Makes us look good.

EDIT: Except Houston. A dream season would include a winless Cougar High.
