GAME ANNOUNCER

Postby MrMustang1965 » Sun Sep 12, 2010 2:36 am

How did everyone else like hearing the game announcer coughing up a loogie on the PA system with his mic open in the second half?

Top 25? Really? C'mon, Orsini. You'd never hear something like that at Notre Dame, Michigan, 'Bama, OU, Penn State, etc.

Amatuer hour up in the pressbox. Gaffed on a couple of names too. WHy can't we find a good PA guy, this guy is not good.

Fun game though. Hot chicks in white dresses on the 'vard (humidity made lots of them see-through). Conference win. More run than shoot. Just like the good old days.

No my favorite game day communicating gaff was the referee with the feedback microphone that went on the entire game. Just perfect. That is what sound checks are for…

He also said first and goal when Line stepped out at the 22 late in the game. Called Pope some name I never even heard before on one of his runs late. Maybe the Jack was kicking in in the 4th quarter.

Sorry but that guy was ridiculous and UN- professional. Sucked and was actually embarrased as I brought some friends that went to Vanderbilt and they have fan problems but the Announcer is just damn unforgivable.

my favorite was when I asked my buddy "who is down?" when on e of our players was on the turf. About two seconds later the PA announcer says in a low voice, "who is down?".

I will give him a first game pass on the Pope miscall. He called out the name of Terry Anderson who is a DB (walk on I assume) instead of Kevin Pope. They both wear number 29, and both freshmen. Either the announcer just missed it on the chart or the spotter (if there is one) gave him the wrong name.

I loved that the entire crowd just started laughing after he coughed into the mike. Very entertaining.
