Penders on style of play

Post by SMU71 »

Tom Penders was on ESPN radio last night and addressed the attendance problem facing the University of Houston. He responded with two factors winning and style of play, and went on to note that when he started at Texas there were 3,800 fans and during his tenure the number went to 13,000 with ticket prices going from $4 to $35. What style of play could we expect from those being considered? How important will the style of play affect the decision on the next head coach?

I think both Tubss and Roberts will play up tempo basketball with both full court pressing, and man to man defense and pushing the ball which is a lot better to watch than Zone defense and slooow basketball.

There is no doubt that Penders will run. He plays a very exciting brand of basketball and he should be good for U of H/C-USA. His UT teams were never boring.
