Perhaps we should take a moment and acknowledge how magnificient our campus has become, an instant hit with visitors, prospective students and proud alums. SMU was originally sited on the far north side of Dallas. Today, the location is idea with quick access to downtown and all of Dallas. The beauty of Georgian architecture and compactness of the campus in University Park is remarkable, given it was only founded in 1911 and opened in 1915 and evolved consistently with thoughtfulness that bridges adminstrations throught its history. And, for the most part, the hysteria by some who opposed the G.W. Bush Library has dissipated and this center will further add to our iconic campus (plus my much wished for Perkins Natatorium replacement.)

Walking through this weekend with my family, we couldn't help but to look in amazment at how beautiful the campus is, and how lucky we were to attend...
It is an amazing campus, and we will find a place for IPF...

That is what I keep saying. We do not need 3 practice fields. And it can be built to blend with the rest of the campus.

Im gonna say that I will bet SMU and University Park may have quams about putting an ugly structure right up front as the entrance to the University and homeowners in the area would protest mightily. I would bet there are also setback and screening requirements off Mockingbird that would restrict the size of the potential building, which may make that land difficult to utilize.

3 would be Ford, the current practice field, and the IPF

We have Ford where they can practice, the field to the west of Ford where they do practice and then a IPF. Just put the IPF on the current practice field site.

I don't think a large, box like building would be appealing on Mockingbird. Perhaps east of Central?

Nick the problem with that is it would be too expensive to build and would never be cost effective.

Didn't the Cowboys use TCU's facility last week? SMU is closer to Valley Ranch than the Yellow Brick Campus is.
