That is a gigantic number. I know we are 2-0 versus the spread but 22 point favorites versus a PAC 10 team. Gotta love the respect we are getting from Las Vegas.

That's a lot of points, but I'll probably end up betting that we cover. Wazzu is terrible, and I feel that Saturday's game will be the game that KP lights up the stat sheet.

We should have beat them by 22 last year. We are better this year and they are not much (if any) improved.

This may be a good game for our throwing offense to finally come alive. We will be able to run against this team and our D will dominate. I am a tad concerned with our special teams play last week. A break down in that phase of the game could be very costly.

Note the TTU is a 3 point dog to UT. And we were in that game! If we have the potential to play with teams that are of the TTU and UT caliber, we best be able to handle a WSU at home.

Interesting note I read this morning is that Saturday's 21 point win was the largest SMU margin of victory in conference since joining Conference USA.

+22.5 point spread for this team is ridiculous no matter who we play.

I hate to be the guy that rains on the 22pt parade (saw it at 22.5 last night), but more than half of this spread is from excitement. There is now a ton of excitement surrounding SMU (25 years in the making). We have a lot to be excited about, we get better every day. Wazoo is a train wreck.

I posted when the spread was 20 pts that even Wazoo boosters won't bet on Wazoo. People who live for Wazoo football won't bet on their team. The Shylocks in Vegas are going to keep moving this spread up until they can find someone to take the other side of the bets. Sports books don't want naked bets. This spread will move north until SMU fans (you and me) stop putting money down or they can entice someone to put a few bucks on the other side - my guess is 27 pts. I am willing to wager that we stop putting money down long before someone wants the otherside - perhaps that is why I am in hiding from "Vinnie the Fish" (I have never been that successful as a gambler).

All I want this week is the "W". Let's go into the evil Froggie game with a winning record and a healthy team. The Shylocks can live without my money for a week (plus it is tough to put money down when you are already hiding from the leg breakers).
