Posted at 2:18 PM on Mon., Sep. 13, 2010 | Permalink | Yahoo! Buzz Jeff Miller / Contributor Bio | E-mail | News tips Expect SMU coach June Jones to be extremely cooperative to the CBS College Sports telecast crew coming to town for Saturday afternoon's game against Washington State. One of the announcers, Jones said, is scheduled to be one Mike Leach, ex of Texas Tech. "I'll probably never treat him like a media person," Jones said Monday afternoon with a laugh. When young Leach was concocting his offensive philosophy of spreading the field decades ago, he did so with the help of a few sitdowns with Jones. As for the physical state of Mustangs players injured in last Saturday night's win over UAB, Jones expects starting cornerback Sterling Moore (knee), backup running back Darryl Fields (thigh bruise) and reserve defensive back Randy McKinnon (knee) all to be ready. Moore and Fields are already back, Jones said, while McKinnon will probably miss a few practice days.
Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofThe interesting thing about the news post is the good news regarding the health of our players.

Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofThe last tidbit is great news. Hopefully, we can get up big early, so that Moore, Fields, and McKinnon can all rest.

Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofhate to say it, but wouldn't mind if Leach had a little brainstorming session with Jones today.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort of
we don't have an indoor practice facility much less a dark shed
Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofgood news on the injury front.
does JJ really mean that he'll give Leach more access? I would think that if he is a potential future opposing coach, you might give him less access/insight -- especially in light of the typical Leach coaching behavior against SMU.
Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofgreat to hear that our guys are healthy.

Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofGlad to hear about the injury news, especially Sterling.
Don't care about the pirate since I'll be at the game and not watching on TV. ![]()

better than what I got in school
Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort of
I'd like to see JJ pick Leach's brain about possibly using the shallow cross concept from the Air Raid offense to help get Padron going. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofLeach qualifies as "unusual media" and we are providing him access, so I'm not sure why the "sort of" is tacked on

Re: SMU to provide unusual media access ... sort ofWay good news and especially happy about Randy McKinnon as he was pretty bummed and thought it was more serious....we knew Sterling would be playing but still think we should rest him for the TCU game...
