Where has the Run and Shoot Gone?

During Schumann's time here, we got lit up a couple of times by Hawaii. I think we won the '98 version of the run and shoot, but that was with 3 , then current or future, all conference d-backs Tracy Hart, Jacoby Reinhart and Donald Mitchell. Not saying our guys now are slouches by any means, but that was a pretty formidable safety net.

Didn't June Jones get to Hawaii in 99? Were they running the R&S before he got there? He is 4-0 versus SMU and all the wins were with Schumann as SMU's DC.

i do remember one of those being the game where the spare RB picked up the kickoff, took a few steps backward and took a knee in the endzone for a safety. what a goon. they would score on the next series and that was the difference in the ball game. the other games were laughers.

We had a team that put up 460 yds in Hawaii only to start off the season with 218 yds at Tech and 174 against UAB.

We should be putting up in excess of 300 yd per game. There is a reason, and people want to talk about it.

maybe so, but we had over 200 yards rushing against UAB. they're playing the pass, so we're taking the run when it's there. why force the ball into coverage when we can hand it off and get the first down and more?
