Ten buck tickets to this weeks game...you've all seen the email I'm sure. Let's see how it works-test the theory that some lower priced general admission tix will help.
I think I'm going to double my presence at this game. With the heat and humidity forecast for this Saturday, I went with the Hall of Champions deal. I'll still get my other three tickets scanned, so hopefully that turns into 5-6 instead of 2-3.
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameMany of my friends that came to Dallas for the weekend did not want to pay $25 bucks to get into the game, which is a buzzkill. Hopefully, SMU has been advertising this special deal. I believe that cheaper tickets will attract more fans to the game, but I guess we'll have to wait and see until Saturday.

Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameYou can't see a movie for 10 bucks these days so there is no reason not to come watch a college football game at one of the best college stadiums/tailgate scenes in the nation.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gamenow just a 1/2 page add in the morning news and a radio ad on the Ticket.
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameEMAIL it out to friends today.....I've sent it out to several and already have some saying they are going to meet me on blvd and go to the game.
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameSMU 89 I want in the AC for this one ha ha ha
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks game
Me too. Ok we(Mestengo, Special, RGV) could rent out an un-used suite this saturday. Are there any available? Lets do it. ![]() "THE SMU BLVD - - NO PLACE ELSE" (retired)
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameTen bucks is nice, but it hardly leaves people without an excuse to come to the game.
It's going to be a broiler. A 2:30 p.m. kickoff with 92-degree heat and sweltering humidity? Yeah, I think people will find plenty of reasons not to come. It's not worth moving a mid-September kickoff to the afternoon heat the just for the glory of being on CBS-C. Not that the crowd was going to be huge anyway for Washington State, but all this does is make the few diehards who do show up suffer unnecessarily. It's one thing to play an early September showcase game for ESPN. But for CBS-C? Give me a break. Don't the TV and C-USA people realize how pitiful the crowd is going to be by playing it in the afternoon? What is the benefit for SMU or C-USA?
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks game
Fifty bucks. Hall of Champions
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameAre you really thinking about it RGV? I may consider it. The problem is we'll be drenched from being on the Blvd for a few hours beforehand, so I'm not sure it will be worth it. But if you and Dave are going to do it I may join you. Also does anyone have a guestimate on when the press box side would be in the shade? I am thinking most of it would be in the shade by halftime?

Cold AC and Beer is nice. If they could just figure out a way to open those windows for nice days - please don't tap on the glass - it irritates the fish.
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks game
I'm doing the Hall of Champs for $50 Mater of fact I'm going to use your money ha ha ha
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameI was expecting change.
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameI have season tickets, but may consider the A/C and beer option with RGV.
Re: Ten buck tickets to this weeks gameOk Mestengo & RGV it's offical I am in the heat avoidance wimp crowd. Just got off the phone with Bethany and got my $50 air-conditioned ticket. For others considering it, It actually ends up being $55 with the handling fee. See ya Saturday with my binoculars in hand.
