That's the best I can do.
It's a start.

It's a start. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Re: Jack Ingram at HomecomingWhen I worked for a major publishing company I set up a trade out with Billy Bob's Texas
I had 8 front row seats at the table for 3 years we could entertain our clients with. I have seen all of the country greats up close and personal. It's just not my favorite no offence.
Re: Jack Ingram at Homecoming
Don't like country music + British spelling of the word offense...*shakes head* ![]() ![]()
Re: Jack Ingram at HomecomingDude I'm on my iPhone just roll with it. Everyone spells better than I do.
Re: Jack Ingram at Homecoming
Billy Bob's ain't no Armadillo. The current "country music "isn't worth a tinker's dam. You have to go way back to get good stuff...and the Armadillo music was called progressive country...such as Willie Nelson in the early years. I haven't heard Jack Ingram recently, but hope he hasn't gone to the dark side (Nashville). SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Re: Jack Ingram at HomecomingIf you're looking for a "start" to liking country music-you need to start much earlier with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys-here with Tommy Hunter. If you don't like this then:
"That's right-You're not from Texas" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeN8yFmL5iA "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Re: Jack Ingram at HomecomingJohnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Hank Jr.
All the rest can go to hell. I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: Jack Ingram at HomecomingIf you don't like Waylon then you have something wrong with you.
