Hey! SMU's doing a group sales event

Postby RGV Pony » Wed Sep 15, 2010 12:03 pm

...to the TCU GAME? The one game which will actually sell itself?

It's a start I guess

Dear ASA Parents and Coaches-

Some of you might be thinking what in the world is the Football guy doing emailing me! That is a good question so let me get right to it!

Each year ASA football try's to plan an event that is a little special for the ASA football players and cheerleaders. This season we picked the SMU VS TCU football game that is going to be played at SMU on September 24th. With TCU becoming a powerful team this is sure to be a great College football game. It is a great location, and it is close.

We have about 200 tickets available to the game that we want to offer to any parent, player or coach within the ASA organization. Grab up the kids and join a lot of other ASA sports families down at SMU for a great night of some fun and football.

We have some really good seats available- but they are going fast!

Tickets are only $15 (children under 2 are free). These are the "good" seats that sell for 25 bucks each. We are getting an amazing deal from SMU.

All you have to do is to drop by the ASA office anytime during business hours and you can grab up some tickets. They are available first come first serve.

I hope you can participate in this fun family night and have a great time at the game!

Looks to me that ASA is doing the group thing and chose the TCU game. SMU just gave them a good price on tickets. All in all it is still a good thing...someone out there wants to get groups to go to our games.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I guess. If it was me, though, I'd redirect and say "well you know, we do have great ticket specials...unfortunately for TCU due to the high demand, I don't have those prices available. Is there another game that would work well for you guys?"

I would never turn them away. I would tell them they can a special deal for the TCU game if they also take the same deal for the WSU game(or some other).

That is how the Cowboys did me. When I bought tickets to the Thanksgiving game they required I also buy tickets to a preseason game.

Hell, give them the tickets and let them sell to members and keep money. Just get people in the stands
