Tech Fans Going Silent

Postby Harry0569 » Thu Sep 16, 2010 10:29 am

Hillarious, hope the Tech trollers check this out. Only proves the point that Tech fans are miserable.

he Texas Tech student government has asked Red Raider fans to be quiet when the Texas Longhorns take the field Saturday.

The last time some UT fans were in Lubbock they said Tech supporters cursed, spit and fought with them.

Fans bullying the competition have made the Tech stadium a tough place to play.

The student governments request is a big one to some Texas fans.

"I don't know if they'll be quiet, it's all about school spirit,” said UT student Nicole Berad.

Tech fans aren't being asked to be totally quiet; they can cheer the Red Raiders. But they are being asked to use what is called a "silent scare" when UT has the ball.

"If we get the stands to be completely silent that has got to be threatening to any team,” said Tech student government president Drew Graham.

Most UT students KEYE TV talked with around campus said the same thing, “The silent scare isn’t going to work"

"I've gotten a lot of trash talk from friends back home who are going to Tech,” said student Chris Bates. “I'm getting a lot of trash talk via facebook, myspace and all that."

Some Tech fans said they will try to be nice and respectful, but that could change if their team starts to lose to the Longhorns.

Wait a minute...I thought all those Tech fans and Tech supporters told us the week of our game we were making it up about their crowd, there were no issues there out of the ordinary, they were just vocal like the other Big 12 teams, there were not conference calls or meeting on how to correct things, etc. Nothing like letting a little facts get in the way of things.

LOL. SSHHHHHHHHHHH

If Drew runs for reelection, I bet I know what the challenger is going to use to win.

Geez
Someone is thinking just a bit too much-don't trust student government representatives named Drew(we need a picture of this Goober!)
Is it too much to ask that you just cheer loud and hard for YOUR own team-whether on Offense or Defense.
Not sure what cursing, spitin and cussing accomplishes except show what a moron you are

The Alan Aldafication of the TTU fans. Next, they will be ask to cry when the other team doesn't make a first down.

Rude behavior doesn't belong at any game. But acting like a neutered turbo wimp isn't the answer either.
