SMU06, how'd your visit go? Viva Ponyball!!!!!
Re: Diamond M and smu06Thanks. That was so funny. I didn't expect that they would actually pick me. Do you realize that I was the first "Superfan" that hadn't removed his/her shirt and written on their torso? I thought that was the criteria for "superfandom," but I guess I was wrong. Knowing and singing Pony Battle counts for something.
My friends and family are certain they will never hear the end of it, since they think I needed no extra encouragement to be a fanatic.
Re: Diamond M and smu06Congratulations Diamond M!
I'm stilling wondering what it takes to be a superfan. I sit among enthusiastic students every home game and we never even make it on the jumbotron. We sing, we chant, we wear school colors, we even dance!!! Even though the students are ignored, I will continue to support the Mustangs. ------------------ stangfan stangfan
Re: Diamond M and smu06My visit went great!
The Boulevard and Shrimpfest kick [deleted]! The only thing is that it seems like there are more people on the Boulevard than at the game. Looking forward to my four years on the Hilltop. University of South Carolina Student and Fan

Re: Diamond M and smu06'06 - glad you had a great visit, and that you enjoyed the Boulevard and shrimpfest (enjoy the beer and seafood -- and scenery -- but don't spend too much time around the pike house. The twits who run that lesser board are pikes, and look how they turned out.) Does your comment about looking forward to coming to school here mean the admission process is complete? Congratulations!
Re: Diamond M and smu06Admissions process is not complete.
But, I feel good about it. I met my Admissions Officer at Mustang Monday, and had a good conversation with her. Personally, I enjoyed the Pike House and Shrimpfest. [This message has been edited by smu'06 (edited 11-14-2001).] University of South Carolina Student and Fan

Re: Diamond M and smu06I hear from my sources that for some inexplicable reason, the Pikes have become popular.
IMO, something to be avoided altogeter, unless of course you feel like crashing a party (the Pikes are easy to abuse). But as far as any longterm fraternal decisions are concerned, I'd look elsewhere. "It's a couple hundred million dollars. I'm not losing sleep over it." -- David Miller
