tickets to tcu game

Postby fivemon » Sat Sep 18, 2010 8:59 am

just thought of this as mavs release their big games of the year (miam, la, san anton), they are making anyone buying single game tickets to those games to get another regular season ticket (to a game that isn't as good). what if we made the frog fans by a second single game ticket :D

Wyoming did that to Nebraska fans this year. if you wanted that game, you had to buy season tickets.

pretty genius. if we played UT in ford, we could do the same w/o the MC donation.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Duke's Athletic Department announced they sold a record number of season tix this year. Come to find out that Alabama fans bought thousands of season tickets for just their game with the Dookies. My guess is those season tix were still cheaper than a single game ticket at UA.
Memphis season tix last year were like $80, while a single game ticket to the home game with Ole Miss was like $60. The tigers obviously saw potential in selling a package.

Heard the other day that Colorado is also requiring a 3 game package for tickets to the Georgia game--have to buy tickets to the Hawaii and K State games with it.

Good way to make money. Bad way to get butts in seats for the other games. Although sometimes they set up a mechanism to donate the other tickets to some local group--wounded vets, youth groups, etc. I know they did that at Virginia Tech and Wake Forest when Nebraska played there.

Yeah - and then they would do the same thing to us next time we have to play in their [deleted] of a stadium.

Plus, just how degrading would it be for us to give them any indication of being good enough for us to have to pull a stunt like this.

No thanks.
