From what I have seen the OL has been good enough (but not great), but I am very concerned about Padron's tendency to hold onto the ball way too long this year. Admittedly it is better than BLM throwing it to the wrong team, but there has to be a concern about Padron getting knocked out of this game. I know it is still early in his career and he continues to develop, but we need to have him the rest of the season. Anyone agree?

Yeah I definitely see TCU teeing off on him and likely knocking him out of the game. This matchup is terrible for SMU and there's little that can go right considering how inconsistent the offense has been. I'm just hoping to see more run plays and rollouts called to limit the shots TCU's defense can take at Padron.

checking out baylorfans.com-many Baylor fans seem to concede that Patterson called off the dogs and score could have been 70-0

i agree w/ mrydel, he's apparently just holding on to the ball and not making reads fast enough. this offense is geared towards quick release.

make a good showing and move on to conference. a couple of blocked kicks and some INT's would be fun.

42-28 TCU wins

That's true, after the 5 straight TD drives, TCU got uber-conservative with their offensive playcalling. They were doing whatever they wanted to do and could have easily continued to do so.

Good News - it is undeniable that their campus is ugly, their school is way under us, and their uniforms have sucked since the beginning of time.

Bad News - none of that will matter at game time. I dont think we match up well yet on these guys - im looking at us in two years and feeling better. We are much beter then 2005 when we won - but they are waaaay better then they were then.

Prediction - you will see lots of running from us - we will use four backs all game long - if anyone gets a groove then they might get more carries (Fields) - and some of the runnign you will see is padron running for his life.

Mcdermott should be ready since I think june won't hesistate to pull pardon to be healthy for the rest of the season. If you listen to his "segmenting" - he thinks he is already a game above the need for this segment.

Having watched both TCU and SMU this season, our respective teams are just not on the same level at this point. I really hate to say that. But the bottom line is that the only team that will be able to beat the Frogs on Friday night is the Frogs. If they come out flat like in 2005 or the Fiesta Bowl last year, then we have a chance. Otherwise, its going to be rough.

I knew my earlier uniform post would bring some angry horny toad out of the wordwork to post here. That cracks me up.

If TCU plays like they did against Baylor and we play like we did against Wazzu, it won't be close.
Kills me to say that.
Our only hope is that they start looking ahead to conference play or severely underestimate us.

really interesting to me that the line is lower than it was for our game against Wazzu.

doesn't really add up considering who we are playing.

Let's hope Andy Dalton plays like crap, and we play the best games of our lives.

in the WSU game SMU the home team was favorite and in TCU game home team is underdog- Home Field advantage is usually about 4 points
