No one knows or cares about TCU week in and week out...
Not one AQ conference thinks you belong anywhere near the top teams in those conferences....
Thats why ESPN put you against BSU last year...by the way, good game....
You keep on living in your fantasy world...
Delusional. This is why nobody takes you guys serious. Please go to all the other boards in the state of Texas and see if we are taken serious. There is a thread(s) about TCU football on every other football message board. You have you vision clouded by so much jealousy that you cant see it. look at the ESPN pages, and see what other people and the analyst say about TCU. The term "best team in Texas" has been said a number of times, now im not saying all those people are right but it certainly means we have their attention and that they know we are damn good and we matter. But no nobody is taking us serious or gives us a chance. Keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night. Idiots.
At smu the talk revolves around building aesthetics.
At TCU we prefer to discuss which BCS bowl we will play in.
TCU is a good team, no doubt. Full of senior leadership and this year is probably the best chance you will ever have (most likely) of crashing the championship game. I don't think there is any jealousy at SMU...in fact, i think most fans appreciate what you've done and our coaches have even stated that you have set a model for what we can (and will) do here at SMU. Hopefully, we can get it done in a quicker time frame than the Frogs.
But you seem to have a short memory. I went to school from 95 to 99 and law school from 00-03, and I remember some pretty god awful TCU teams, including a 1 win season (granted, the win was against us).
You haven't been a national power for that long, if you are at all. But your fans act as if you are Bama or Texas or Florida. I think that's what bothers people.

yes there were some terrible teams at TCU and we clawed our way out of the muck thanks to Gary and Co. Those that think TCU is a national power house are not friends of mine. I dont think we are on that level yet but one day can be if we keep Gary and if we keep getting the kind of kids we are getting. All we are looking for (and sometimes getting) is a chance to show we can play with anybody and a chance to gain some respect. I think we have done a great job of that over the past few years when given the opportunity. Dont get me wrong we are in now way saying we cant play with and beat some of the power houses, we aint scared. But like i said earlier we dont have some of the things they do. We are a small private school that plays big time football. We have a much smaller fan/alumni base and mush smalller stadium. But those 2 things have nothing to do with whats on the field but everything to do with the $$$ side of the game.

Cmon son...Natty light is for college kids and TCU grads...
The sad thing is that a guy like you truly believes TCU belongs on the level of Bama, Florida, Texas, Ohio State...and all those schools think you are a total joke...
To 8 out of 10 people in this country there is no difference in SMU and TCU football...you are still irrelevant in the national landscape... I love being a SMU fan and alumni, and think its funnny how some TCU punk just sits on the SMU board and talks trash...without understanding the greater picture of how things work in this world....
Good luck on Sunday, and enjoy the stadium, we think its a great facility...
.......not true at all, are you drunk?
I LOVE SMU
I live and work in big ten country and 10 of 10 think you are irrelevent up here...
.....that's cute, my wife is from Illinois, and they know about TCU.
....for the record there are 11 teams in the Big 10....good try though!!!

Agree about the $ and the tv contracts that keep teams like Boise & TCU on the outside looking in. And your problems are shared by SMU (see our attendance), which keeps the bigger conferences from calling. It is horrible that teams like Wast St, Miss St, Iowa St, baylor, etc get to draw from the BCS well while other, better teams are doing so much more with so much less $, simply because we are smaller schools or because we weren't lucky enough to be in the right conference when the music stopped.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I live and work in Big 10 country and I know that this kind of comment is beyond absurd. TCU is certainly not irrelevant up here. Are they a focal point of college football discussion up here? Of course not. But they are far, far from irrelevant.
Well, then we all stand corrected. Thank you for enlightening us.
