TCU fans think their program is so much better than SMU that they lower themselves to go on an SMU football board to try and one-up fans that they think are ignorant.
Is that about right?
Seems to me that some froggie fans have some self-esteem issues.
This is a football board....you're embarrassing yourself!!!
Thanks for proving my point. If we are supposed to talk strictly football, then do that and quit resorting to name calling. You are simply showing everyone that you have no class, and that you can't seem to string together an argument that actually makes any sense. And as far as embarassing yourself, your team did that last year when they claimed that playing Boise again was beneath them, and then proceeded to lose. If TCU beats SMU Friday, big deal. You are supposed to do that. But if TCU loses (much like in 2005), it will be proven yet again that the TCU program is still an outsider looking in on the BCS conferences. Good luck on Friday. If we are going to beat TCU, I want to do it when you guys are at your best.
hmmmm....I just stated the SMU had no chance of beating TCU.....your SMU friends began to attack us.....thanks though!!! FROGS BY WHATEVER THEY WANT!!!

It's simply ironic that you go off on people for not strictly talking football, and then you proceed to go down a rabbit trail of endless name-calling. When you do try to talk football, your points (or lack thereof) are ridiculous. In the battle of wits, you are proving that you are outmatched.

.....battle of wits? You book nerds have only stated that TCU has an ugly campus, TCU people are stupid, that my boss went to SMU, and that Gary Patterson is fat. Good Job!

Please tell me you are not really a football coach as you stated in another thread. I would hate to think you are influencing young men with your immature babble.

At what point have I stated any of those? Go back and read through the posts and check. All you are doing is ranting off to everyone that tries to engage you in an actual football discussion. You are simply proving my summary about this thread.
So what are you trying to prove?
TCU should be in a BCS conference? Well, you might be able to beat the bottom tier teams in AQ conferences, but when was the last time you beat Texas? You beat OU in 2005, and then turned around and lost to a lowly SMU team the week after.
TCU should be in BCS bowl games? You had a shot last year and lost to Boise.
TCU can beat Utah or other teams who have won BCS games? So what. You didn't win yours. You are just pointing out that those other schools actually show up in big games and you didn't last year.
Seriously, what football point do you want to make? TCU will win? Well, 98% of the country is predicting that, too, so that's not very original.
So check the box, you made your point. Most of us agree that TCU is likely to win, although (unlike you) we think we actually have a shot at winning. It might be small shot, but I'm going to show up on Friday night and watch them play the game. The beauty of sports is that regardless of how much of an underdog one team may be, they still actually play the game to find out if what is supposed to happen actually does.

Okay, so honestly, tell me this: If your team appears outmatched on paper, do you tell them to just not worry about showing up to the game because they are going to lose anyway? Did you expect to be well received when you came to the board for the opposing team and started spouting off?

We expect our teams to be confident no matte who we are playing.....maybe SMU should try this?

Okay, you may have been wrapped up in holiday festivities last Dec 24th, but did you happen to at least see the score of the Hawaii Bowl? SMU was expected to lose to Nevada pretty easily, and literally about 80% of the folks on ESPN's board predicted Nevada to win. Well, in case you didn't hear, we won 45-10. So far this year, we've won both games that we were supposed to win, and lost the one we weren't. And in the one that we weren't supposed to win, we were within striking distance of tying it in the closing 2 minutes. I'd say our confidence is just fine. I'm thinking TCU may be a little too confident. Do you stress to your players not to be overly confident as well, because bad things can happen? I imagine you do. From all the responses I've seen on this thread, I'd say our fans are confident that we are not outmatched and that we can win. From everything I've heard our players and coaches say, I'd say they believe that, too. If you want to discuss confidence, go call Tony Robbins or some other motivational speaker because we are good to go here.

Really? I could have sworn.... Did you attend the game in 2005? We were expected to get crushed and we won. It happens all the time in sports, and I would expect you of all people to know that, coach. I give us a shot, that's the only difference.

Why are you wasting our time with your inane posts? You need some new material or maybe a ghost writer. Your smack is the worst to date and we have had some bad ones come on this board. Say something original and/or funny please.

No response to the "terrible" part , but http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=272440130 comes to mind, for one. Anything can happen. It's why you play the game. I'm sure you're a blast on the sidelines in 1A football-ville. Maybe if you spent less time online you could actually coach for a school with more than 50 kids in a graduating class.
