But if you want to take those types of wins that's you.

TCU, like all SWC schools, did have a habit of cheating back in those days. BUT, we were not as bad as SMU, which showed a habitual and flagrant disrespect for NCAA guidelines and failed to correct its behavior even after a series of minor NCAA sanctions.

The SMU student paper did a very good story on it last semester.

That's not the half of it. Keep an eye on ESPN 30 for 30 and you'll soon see the whole ugly truth behind Pony Excess, as told by one of our own.

We were scheduled to play Texas Tech this year....Tech backed out late last year so that they could play Texas early again......we had to find a replacement.

Anymore questions about the schedule?

Actually, your replacement for the Tech game was the Oregon State game. You were scheduled to play Texas Tech but ESPN wanted to move UT-Tech up for TV purposes. That caused conflicts with the game between Tech and TCU. To compensate TCU, ESPN agreed to find an opponent to put on a game at JerryWorld - they found Oregon State, ESPN agreed, and the rest is history.

You have not yet explained why you guys scheduled Tennessee Tech.

i-aa was all we can get on the schedule after the clemson game without a return last year. it is the price you sometimes have to pay for the stretch game that won't give you a return date.
