Love the signs. Gotta get some SMU stickers to cover up the reference to playing TCU 7 p.m. Friday so I can use it before every home game.

The "Fill the Ford" signs look a lot like the Dan Branch signs in UP. Very good placement.

Kevin Knox, head honcho from Cox Alumni Relations, was pimping the game and tailgate at each of the Associate Board meet and greets this week and last.

Flew into Love tonight and saw some signs, good to see...esp. the one my bro-in-law put in his front yard just for me...

Three problems with the stickers and signs: One, have you ever seen an ad by Coke that says "beat Pepsi", withount mentioning Coke? Not one mention of who is going to beat TCU--a red stallion, etc. but no mention of "SMU". I had a couple of guys ask me about the stickers and they litterally said "who is going to beat TCU?" Second, there is not a single sign on SMU's retail lots on Mockingbird and Central--the shopping center on the north side (book store, Le Madaline, etc.) and on the south side (former 7 Eleven and Mrs. Bairds) if you are asking people to put these up in their yards, why not on your own high profile properties? Third, the TCU game has been scheduled for years, why were the signs only available on late Tuesday afternoon, why not to fans leaving the game Saturday, why not the Mustang Club luncheon on Monday? Thanks for the signs, but lets upgrade the professionalism. Finally, why weren't people outside passing out the signs? People have to park, go up stairs, are our people so busy, they couldn't be outside handing these out Tuesday?

Man, I think the majority of SMU fans could find a way to [deleted] about anything.

After twenty years can't expect everything to work well the first time out, like I said these are good ideas whose execution can improve.
