Utah is going to give them all they can handle so you don't even have to play the AQ card.

Next year when Utah joins the PAC-10(12) [UGH!] and has their [deleted] handed to them weekly you'll all see how "wonderful" TCU really is!

Also SMU made a lot of mistakes tonight so if anyone takes anything from this game it should only be because we can see improvement.

The play of the O was awful (other than Line) and they put too heavy a burden on our undersized D to carry the game.

Winning is the only thing!

Everything else is losing!

They are a darn good team and we played well ourselves. However - I have to say I think they are sort of 20-ish - not top 5. That kick return dude is unbelievable - and their d ends are VERY good. I was not as impressed with their D as I expected to be - and Dalton is not in the top 20 QB's in the country.

They are very good - but not top ten.

no freakin way tcu is 2nd best in the SEC

Look at their schedule...Tenn Tech, Baylor, Colorado St, Wyoming, UNLV, SD St, New Mexico State...that's 7 cupcakes. Add so-so BYU, SMU and AF...that's 10 of their 12 opponents

it would be a disgrace for them to be considered a Top 8 team.

BYU which beat the mighty Jake Locker?

Air Force which went into mighty Oklahoma and gave them the closest game in Norman since TCU beat them in 05

What I'm saying is TCU and non-AQ haters and BCS lovers can't have it both ways. You can't promote OU, UT, Florida, and when they stumble or have games they should have lost, just ignore it and then say TCU isn't good because they played an improving SMU team which the "experts" say is coached by one of the greatest coaches of all time - June Jones, and beat them by ONLY 17 which was the line to start!

If you thought TCU should have beat SMU by more than 17, then why was the line set there?

In what other sport do style points count. For that matter what other conference? If Alabama only beats Ole Miss by 10, that will be called a good win because it's a rivlary. However it will conveniently be forgotten that Ole Miss lost to Vandy, lost to Jacksonville St., and only beat Tulane by 14.

Stop lying to yourself...

TCU is a top 25 team...but thats it...

Utah will finish 6th in pac 10 next year...TCU would finish 5th...

SMU had 3 seniors in this game...TCU has 26....think about that....

I think since 14 of those 17 points were an interception run back from the 10 and the other was a kick return - that the teams seemed more even then the score - and since we know we aint anywhere close to top ten - then TCU might very well be over-rated.

I think it would help you later if you started to come to that realization.

You sir are an IDIOT :!: :!: :!:

Around 360 yards isn't exactly shutting down the run N shoot, considering their defense allows
about 220 a game :!:

Zach (Mike Richardson)Line got 139 yards himself on the run :!:

We have a very good front 7, and that is one hell of an offensive line that TCU has. Tha o-line will allow them to be effective offensively against anyone int he country.

I think they really miss Jerry Hughes. They can't put a pass rush on without blitzing, something that showed against OSU and against SMU. Padron had time for the most part, but took way too long with his decisions. The lack of a dominant defensive end is what keeps this from being a top 5 team in the country.

That said, they definitely deserve to be in the top 15. Very, very good team with top class athletes all over the field.

 well luckily you don't have to worry about much since TCU is the bestest team of all time and is going undefeated from now till infinity

Jake Locker is not the best example to prove your point. And TCU did not cover the line actually. I think Nebraska and Oregon should jump TCU rather quickly.

Go back and check out how many teams almost beat our championship teams in the 1980s . TCU, Tech, Baylor, Texas, etc. all gave us great games during those championship years. TCU and Baylor almost always gave Dicker-James all they could handle-actually embarrassed us a few times holding Dickerson to scratch. Tech outplayed us all day long but SMU responded to adversity. The great teams are the teams that respond to adversity after taking their opponents best shots. When you are No. 4 in the Country you are going to get every teams best shot. That's exactly what TCU did. They are 15-3 against BCS Conference teams- I don't know if they are top 4 but they are damn good considering the disadvantages of being non-BCS. Extremely well coached.

I actually think they are effectively exploiting the BCS system.

Being from Texas helps tremendously...they have the best non-BCS recruiting classes, then go out and whip inferior non-BCS conference mates, 5 of which are extremely weak. Add 2 or 3 easy non-conference games, and all you have to do is win 2 or 3 games a year against similar talent and you have an undefeated season and a BCS bowl game.

Not bad.

We played an incredible game and TCU just had more depth and more talent at the end of the game to pull it out. Easily the best college football game environment for my four years here, but at the end of the day TCU did not show they were close to being top 4 in the country. If TCU is top 4 then we have to be top 25(which we aren't yet) by the end of the year and have to win CUSA with how we played tonight, not saying its gonna happen, but with how close we played the first 3 qtrs tonight, we have to be the favorite the rest of the year. No doubt we should win CUSA west now that Keenums out, but TCU looked no better than LSU or Texas or any other middle of the road BCS conference team, no doubt they're a great team and a great program, we can model oursleves after, but does anyone really think they would compete with alabama or any other team with a shot at the national championship this year, minimum they would lose by 10 points to bama or osu or even flordia who looks horrible this year.

Are you reall y comparing an 80s SMU team in the SWC to this TCU team???

You are the guy that believes in recruiting=ranking....

If TCU was in an AQ conference they would be the 5-6 best recruiting team in and conference...they have been #25 1 time in recruiting

I unlike you belive that coaching has something to do with this...so I give tcu Benefit of the doubt...

However, I saw and watched this whole game...the only difference was that we kicked the ball to Curly and that we don't have enough depth...

We will be better than them for at least the next 2 years...
