Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...
At Rice the fans choose NOT to go. Period. GO MUSTANGS!
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...Texas is open for in/out.
Top 25... even after the loss. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...It does SUK, I want to go out at half time to make phone calls so I can actually hear, which is nearly impossible to do in the stadium, gate Nazi's really watching the re-entry policy, its not like thousands of students leave at half time and RETURN for second half. Most of the blue hairs aint leavin and re-entering, I hate this policy. At Tech game, I left at 1/2 time, listened on the car radio about the first half commentary of the game, then went back and watched the second half.
Life after Death (Penalty)
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...Re-entry policy is stupid, but the TCU game is the one time its felt/enforced. Get over it... come tulsa we'll be walking beers past the attendants again. If you need the hooch that bad, (and i did) you had it, & it didnt affect your experience.
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...In the good 'ol days, we could buy beer at our games at Rice, too!!! Didn't need in/out there!

Just don't come in until you are ready to stay. Simple.
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...
They weren't from 2001-2009. http://www.texassports.com/ot/football-atoz.html Re-entry policy NEW FOR THE 2010 SEASON: UT Athletics offers pass-out stubs to patrons departing the stadium. Stubs are distributed at Gates 1, 6, 7, 8, 25, and 32 at the beginning of the second quarter through the end of halftime. They are redeemable for re-entry at any stadium gate. You must have a pass-out stub and a game ticket to re-enter the stadium.
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...If you can't figure out how to leave and get back in by their rules stay in the box.
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...off the subject, AT&T signal was non-existent. Seems to be even so for normal 13k attended games.
I guess there aren't any towers in the SMU area?
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...
Too many people with iPhones. It overloads the network.
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...
I've never had a problem getting AT&T signal at the stadium. Certainly not at the south endzone area. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...
Of course, my point was normal games too
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...If not allowing people to re-enter is going to affect our wins and losses then we need to change the policy? Does it? Does it affect the gameday atmosphere inside the stadium by letting people exit? Does it give us a competive edge by having "fans" outside the stadium instead of in? I have to think that if you can't go without alcohol for 3 hours then you have much bigger issues than a "re-entry" policy at SMU!
Re: My only complaint (and I've said this before)...
I had an issue at the Wazzu game. Didn't try at the TCU game. If the tower is overloaded it will show strong signal but you won't be able to make a connection. Interesting fact: AT&T's phones are GSM technology which means that they require twice as many channels as Verizon (or other CDMA) phones. GSM allows people to talk and text/surf/upload at the same time, while CDMA doesn't, but CDMA allows each cell site to handle crowds better. GSM channels needed for one phone: 1) Voice Up 2) Voice Down 3) Data Up 4) Data Down CDMA channels needed: 1) Voice or Data Up 2) Voice or Data Down Assume that the AT&T and Verizon towers near SMU both handle 10,000 channels each. AT&T's can handle 2,500 phones connected to the network, while Verizon's can handle 5,000.
