Will SMU be Favored to win the rest of their games?

UCLA's win over UT in Austin puts the UH game into perspective. We have a tough road game next week then a very good opponent in Tulsa. Then Navy and Finally UH. I don't see any sure wins in Oct. Will we be favored? Only if we start with a win over Rice. Remember there were many that believed we could be 6-6, 5-7, or 4-8 this year. To avoid those predictions we need to start with a solid road win against Rice

and let's all remember that we have beaten Rice only 5 times since the death penalty...same number of wins we own against TCU in that time period

I don't feel we are at a point where any game we go into is a sure thing. I like the talent level of our team and coaching staff against every remaing opponet but we are a young team. Inexperience makes me worry we will have a hard time on the road and will probably lose at least one more game

let's just hope we see the same intensity next Saturday as we did Friday night..if the guys can bring it, I like our chances against Rice...but our post death penalty success against Rice has been very limited and they are not as bad as they showed against Baylor. They will be out to prove that against the Ponies.

We will be underdogs at Navy and at ECU. Houston, we won't know just yet.

Do NOT forget about UTEP...they are reallly tough out there and give us fits...If Houston is down and out of it...UTEP has to be in the running for the West behind SMU as the season progresses.. UTEP is 3-1 and plays New Mexico and Rice the next two games and could be 5-1 after those two games. I know they haven't played anyone good, but as the ball starts rolling and they realize they could be Bowl eligible...they could get tricky with a good crowd in ELP....

I believe we can win CUSA but, unless we start putting on a show we will not be favored in all our remaining games (just most of them)

NAvy will be favored over us.
ECU might be favored over us.
