I know this belongs on recruiting board, but thought it was pretty important. per scout main page.

This is no surprise. His brother is leaving SMU, and all of his friends are going to Baylor. Has Baylor offered him?

Per Rivals, he has an offer to play at Baylor, where after Robert Griffith leaves, they will win 2 games/yr.

haha, you are wise beyond your years.

My boss JUST asked me if I had watched the game last night. I told him yes, and that I was freaking out because A&M covered the over (66.5) in the last 3 min. I don't think he appreciated me talking about my betting habits...whoops

I'm always a little disappointed to hear about a de-commit, especially a well-regarded recruit like Yenga. That being said, it seems like our coaching staff have several high-quality prospects in the works. I have a feeling this scholarship spot will be taken by someone that is going to do very well here.

I'm tired of feeling bad about players that de-commit...Lets move on to the next guy...

We are improving quickly and I am sure we would love to have him, but he isn't irreplaceable...

Why don't you just go pout by yourself and let's see if we can change his mind

FWIW, the WDNWHA Committee has not made a final decision on young Mr. Yenga as of this time.

Who comprises the WDNWHA Committee?

He's a young kid — we all changed our minds at that time. If he ends up at SMU, I'll be a huge fan. But kids de-commit and choose other options at schools across the country — it's not like SMU has cornered the market on such players. If he goes elsewhere, we should wish him good luck, since he is the younger brother of one of our best players, and therefore an extended member of the SMU family. We're getting better and better recruits considering SMU, and if he chooses to go elsewhere, I hope he has a good career. That said, I would think our coaches will be able to reaffirm his commitment. All they have to do is remind him that Baylor will continually get pummeled, and it's in Waco. For the life of me, I can't fathom why anyone would ever want to go there, much less live there.

I think mrydel is the one in the middle.....
