We need some help on Special Teams

We should have won that game by a lot more. Our special teams leave a lot to be desired at this point.

Its going to cost a game just wait and see....

special teams was up and down today, but the blocked kick and TD was certainly timely

The punt return unit would be helped immensely by Johnson (or whomever the return man is) just letting punts bounce and getting the hell away from the ball.

We need some help on defense too.

we have too many guys that have to play full time defense and special teams due to our lack of depth. Our defense will wear down at the end of games all season

I will never understand why coaches allow punt returners to catch the ball inside the 10. Just get outta the way and 90% of the time the ball goes into the endzone. It is such a risky play with almost no chance of a reward.

The coaches don't "allow" it. The kids do it against their orders. I am ready for them to give Acker another chance. He did not wrap up once against Tech but apparently he was believed to be best at the beginning of the year.

I will say special teams could be better,

We need someone that can catch punts.

BUT, at least we don't have 2 punts blocked or kickoffs returned for TDs each game.

I think we fix it and will be OK>

It was about a wash - we did get a block for a td. Our kick offs need to go deeper. Two fumbles for TD bad, and remember we had one last year against TCU, or at least a lost fumble inside the ten.
