So apparently they said no all 10 times. I would have given up after 6 or 7 tries.

Re: Highway Robbery I 45FYI a friend who travels I 45 regularly for business advises to keep it at the speed limit between
I 20 and DW's Adult Video just north of Corsicana. Will need to watch for Fairfield in the future. Sunday there were plenty of cars blowing by me at 85 plus to occupy [deleted] Weed and his ilk so my 75 was golden.
Re: Highway Robbery I 45I was set at 75 also . However it was night about 12:30am
Just another way to get you. The phone at the court has been bizzey Mark.
Re: Highway Robbery I 45I believe the night time speed limit on I-45 is 65 thus you were not 5, but 10 over...that will get you a ticket every time. SMU's first president, Robert S. Kiss my [deleted] ![]() I find it interesting that in the entire Freestone County area there is not ONE traffic ticket dismissal attorney.
Re: Highway Robbery I 45Here's a strategy I try to employ. I keep my speed at or below the actual speed limit. It's worked wonders for me.
Re: Highway Robbery I 45Hired some guy out of West texas to take more money lol
Re: Highway Robbery I 45So how much would the average person be willing to pay a ticket dismissal attorney to avoid a $165 fine. The fine is probably cheaper. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Re: Highway Robbery I 45The nerve of those cops enforcing the actual law. Ridiculous.
Re: Highway Robbery I 45My strategy is to find someone like Mestengo and match his speed but hang back about 20 car lengths. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Re: Highway Robbery I 45The ticket $ is not the real factor. It is the increase in insurance premiums that could occur depending on the X factor. If you pay it you are guilty and those points are assessed to your record.
I have not had a ticket in 20 years. I do not want to take a driving course online as I may hang myself during the process. So it would be worth $75 to $150.00 not to have to take a class. And to not have it on my record. Total cost $305.00 including the fine. I believe I will take the pony boy approach in the future. He's a cop or a blood sucker ![]() Last edited by Mestengo on Tue Oct 05, 2010 3:08 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Highway Robbery I 45
Speed limit is for chumps and the last time I did online drivers ed it gave me 8 hours of time to post here
Re: Highway Robbery I 45All I'm saying is that if you've ever seen a family extracted from a vehicle by the jaws of life, you'll rethink your driving strategy. Speed limits are there to try to minimize such things.
Re: Highway Robbery I 45or EMT. Either way, thanks ponyboy for your service.
At any rate, what irritates me is when you see state troopers parked under a bridge poaching people going 5mph or over or whatever, and a couple of miles the other way is a disabled motorist that use the help
