Utah Atty General Filing Suit vs BCSThe ABC affilaite in Salt Lake City tonight is reporting that Utah's attornery general will be meeting with the Department of Justice this week in Washington DC in preperation to file a formal lawsuit agains the BCS. Inferences were that the Utah Utes will be crashing the BCS party.
Re: Utah Atty General Filing Suit vs BCSit's going nowhere as long as the NCAA continues to outsource their most profitable sport to the BCS know-nothings

Re: Utah Atty General Filing Suit vs BCSIsn't the Pac-10 making some noises that perhaps Utah is not as welcome as they thought? I think this is what they call leverage. Pull back the invite and we have a pretty nasty lawsuit waiting to be filed.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Utah Atty General Filing Suit vs BCSdidn't they do this a while back to no advail?
Re: Utah Atty General Filing Suit vs BCSI don't like this - I LOVE it! Stick it to the BCS. If the lawsuit is successful, this could be the best thing to happen to SMU in decades. Recruiting will be about the quality of the School and not an arbitrary barrier that the BCS creates. Think of the talent in TX who would rather stay in TX than play at Kansas, K State, Colorado...etc. What advantage would Baylor, Tech or A&M have when going after the same kids? We could compete very, very well on quality of school and quality of college experience.

Re: Utah Atty General Filing Suit vs BCSGood luck to the AG. I think every AG in every state should join in this suit. The BCS is not only a restraint of trade, it is a joke. Try to explain the system to a foreign World Cup fan as I have tried many times. Impossible. BCS=Bad for sports. They should hold a beauty pageant instead of a football game.
Re: Utah Atty General Filing Suit vs BCSA state Attorney General filing this lawsuit is by far the best outcome that non-BCS schools could possibly have prayed for. This is outstanding. The case has merit and there is demonstrated evidence of concerted action and anti-competitive effects in the market. That being said an antitrust case is inherently unpredictable and may be decided on any number of procedural issues which may not seem to be relevant to the public. But asserting rights in the Courtroom is just about the only way non-BCS schools are ever going to gain access to the National Championship AND probably more significantly the tied control of major conference affiliated bowls.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
