June has said he isn't going anywhere that will force him to put up with their bs. He likes total control where nobody ever says, "that isn't how we do it here. "

I don't think Colorado fits.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I wouldnt think you would hear it unless JJ was responding which apparently he is not. Like GP, I wouldn't think he would be remotely interested until after the season. However, based on my posts, it doesnt seem they can afford him. That was my point. I thought it was funny that a big bad BCS school couldnt afford a Non AQ coach. Kinda like GP. They make more than all Big 12 coaches but Mack I think. GP is at 2.5MM plus. Not sure what JJ total package is. I know the base is 2MM (?).

No, no, no- we don't GP to leave before next year. I want to watch him scream, yell, and tug at his britches as we kick the crap out of them next season. I will be great to see that in froggie high stadium.

That's right- money for his other coaches and money for facilities. What kind of program can't even afford to wash the windows of a building for 6-10 years let alone update their athletic facilities?
When JJ was there your facilities were a joke- worst in the WAC- why [deleted] when he left for a decent program. JJ loved Hawaii and they did nothing to support him. Ohana works both ways.

The difference is that we can compete with any offer, whereas UH, for a variety of reason, could/would not.

Hawaii's AD actually turned down JJ's offer to take a pay *cut* (going from $800k to $500k) less than 2 years before he went to SMU. JJ's condition for taking a pay cut was that the money he gave up be used for the football program--increasing the recruiting budget, funding a position for Dennis McKnight (he was a GA then, basically working for free) and creating a position for Mouse Davis.

If it was all about the money, why was JJ offering to cut his salary 38%? If Hawaii hadn't had an incompetent AD that acted like he didn't want JJ to stick around (he wasn't the AD that hired JJ, maybe he wanted his own coach), SMU never would have gotten him. As far as I can tell, Orsini and JJ get along well and can work together. Orsini gave JJ an extension years before his contract was up...Hawaii's AD let JJ's contract run out.

Jones approached Athletics Director Herman Frazier with a unique offer. Jones was entering the fourth season of a five-year contract in which he earned $800,016 annually, half of which was paid from donations. Jones offered to sign a new five-year contract, taking a large pay cut that would reduce his annual salary to $500,000. The savings, Jones said, would be used to hire McKnight, create a non-coaching position for Davis, and boost the recruiting budget. The only stipulation was the deal needed to be completed in time for the start of spring practice in April. Frazier rejected Jones' offer. The two never discussed terms of a contract proposal again until last Thursday — the day Jones received a proposal outline from Southern Methodist University.

Regardless of their success or personality, never marry yourself to any coach for any reason. And don't get worked up or not if they stay or leave. Quite frankly, it's not worth it.

If June stays, he stays. If he leaves, he leaves.

And then we move on.

Coaching is too much of a transient industry.

True, it's amazing how infantile some people get over coaching changes. You have take every word that comes out of a coach's mouth with a grain of salt.

Wish away. We are reloading next year. Not rebuilding. We have mad depth. We lose 5 or 6 on each side. You will be happy Kerley is gone but we will be highly skilled with a very good line.

Not to mention, we simply don't lose at THE CARTER anymore.

Ya'll definitely have talented players coming in, but 4 of 5 starting offensive linemen are graduating, quarterback is graduating, and only 1 starting DB is returning. That spells a recipe for a Mustang victory in THE CARTER.
