Re: Kyle Padron
My point wasn't to compare Padron to Brennan - just how far we have to get to that level...
Re: Kyle Padronwow, what a game!
Re: Kyle PadronI feel like a lot of it should be on the play calls or at least the decisions by the recievers in how they read the defense to run their routes. Even though the Timmy Chang video shows him throwing a lot more vertical routes, I always believed that this offense worked best when you run shorter routes and allowing the receivers to run after the catch. I am starting to believe that we are falling in love too much with the deep ball. We need to be running quicker routes and more crossing routes so these receivers can make plays happen after the catch. When you look at the size of these receivers like Robinson and Beasley none of them seem to be true home run threats by way of the deep ball. They all seem to have great speed so June need to let them get the ball in space and make things happen.
Re: Kyle Padron
agree - take the 5-10 yarders across the middle all day long. How fast is Terrence W.?
Re: Kyle Padron
Postgame brawls were all the rage during June's time in Hawaii. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

both Derail the Frogs!
Re: Kyle PadronWTF-Robinson is the Active Career Yards per Catch leader in the NCAA right now-or he was as of a few weeks ago. Although Darius Johnson has done a good job of catching the ball he needs to step it up and make some big plays in yards after catch.

Re: Kyle Padron
looks like JJ had the same defensive strategy this weekend.... WEST DIVISION CHAMPS 2010
Re: Kyle Padron
WEST DIVISION CHAMPS 2010
Re: Kyle PadronThis is a highlight of Colt Brennan and I think he is a much better comparison than Timmy Chang. Padron has the ability to make plays with his legs similar to Brennan and I think there are times when he stays in the pocket too long, there were several times when Brennan would roll out of the pocket and be able to allow receivers to get open or even gain some yards on his own. Go back to the Tulsa game last year when Padron used his ability to scramble which is something that I havent seen from him as much this year.

Re: Kyle Padron
havent seen one of theses "colt brennan" type games from padron (5 ints) WEST DIVISION CHAMPS 2010
Re: Kyle PadronIn Colt Brennan's first season at Hawaii he passed for 4,301 yds, 35 TDs and had just 13 INTs. KP won't come close to those numbers. Some people pick up the R&S quickly and easily while others struggle to do so. Let's hope the light finally comes on (very quickly) for KP as we need to win out the rest of this season.
GO PONIES!!!
Re: Kyle PadronEverone of Kyle's passes was gone in 4 seconds or less in that Hawaii highlight.
Two @ 3 seconds one @ two. I actualy thought he was a little faster than that in that game. Last edited by Mestengo on Sun Oct 24, 2010 2:13 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Kyle Padron
Projected 3117 yards 33 TD 10 INT ![]() http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/pr ... rId=483247 but. if you go on his averages from this year padron avg. 2+ TDs/game 1Int/game so he would end up around 28 and 12 and around 2800 yards. that being said we're not going to see another defense like TT or TCU this year.... so expect more then 3000 yards. I also expect 30+ touchdowns WEST DIVISION CHAMPS 2010
