That's the 3rd base dugout at the back of the endzone...
What about a 10 yard out to this sideline?

Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofI
It would be interesting to know if they talked to anyone from the Bears organization about injuries from the old days. I think they played there for something like 50 years? Couldnt be too dangerous.
Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofIBears had the field set north to south......temporary bleachers were in right field (east). The NU game has the field set east to west which will be goofy as you can see from the pictures.
Last football game I saw there ..... Brian Piccolo caught a touchdown pass against the Steelers when Joe Greene was a rookie. Go Ponies
Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofISchools and Big Ten reached an agreement..............offense for both teams will only head toward the West end zone. East end zone too dangerous. Amazing.
Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofISOOOO lame...
what was even dumber? they didn't orient the field N-S like they have the thousands of other times football has been played at Wrigley. i wonder how those folks in the right field bleachers are gonna feel having people running away form them the whole game, lol. Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofI
Wrigley has been remodeled since those days and there isn't enough space anymore to fit the field N-S.
Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofINot True...
Wrigley owners did not want temp bleachers on field, and wanted to gouge ticket buys as much as possible...
Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofISo they've made some rule changes, and they're, well, kind of a joke. All kickoffs will be to the East, so bonus points if you can hit the wall on the fly. All offensive possessions will head toward the West end zone. That means, if there's a fumble recovery or an interception, both teams will pack up and move to the other end of the field to make sure the drives aren't going East. To avoid one team having their bench on the action half of the field the whole game, they'll actually switch at halftime. (They flipped a coin to decide who gets it first.)

Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofI
this ownership is quickly turning into the Ricketts-Racket...squeezing every penny from tix they can. but if sam zell had bent me over and told me to like it at that price for the cubs and wrigley i would probly be maxing my rev stream too. "There ain't nothing you can't solve with one more beer"
Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofI
So what, you are saying the LF bleachers at Wrigley haven't changed over the years? http://product.images.prosportsmemorabi ... 0043-F.jpg
Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofIThe expanded up and out...not in...
They added premium seats and pushed dugouts in i think 8 ft.. still think field fits better north south than east west.... Most of my office had seats near bleacher end zone...they are not pleased...

Re: Wrigley hosts Northwestern vs UofIWhile it may sound cool, this is turning out to be the most [deleted] thing I have ever heard. It sounds more like a pickup game you'd play with your buddies in the neigborhood when I was a kid. All they need now is someone to volunteer to be all-time center.
Sadly, I am still going to Tivo the game just to see the clusterf&#k in action myself.
