Great job Bryan!
And yes, Sham gave a shoutout to the special teams coaching staff at SMU and then congratulated SMU for becoming bowl eligible yesterday.

Sham actually makes SMU seem like Dallas' hometown team, unlike virtually every other media type in Dallas.

I suspect the reason for this is the amount of time Sham has been associated with the Cowboys. Prior to moving to Valley Ranch, the Cowboys offices were at 6116 Central, just down the street from SMU. Cant help but pay attention to SMU when you're driving by it every day.

And Sham announced an SMU tv game last year or the year before.

From ESPN:

...if Bryan McCann keeps coming up with long, game-changing returns for touchdowns, it may stay that way for awhile.

A week after a 101-yard touchdown return helped Garrett win his debut, McCann grabbed a batted-down punt and took it 97 yards for a go-ahead touchdown that sent Dallas to a 35-19 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

6116 is directly East of the main campus, and it is now owned by SMU, among other buildings on the East side of 75/Central. It's also probably the biggest reason people know that SMU is there, now that there's that huge SMU logo sign hung from both sides of the top floor.

Other media in town barely mentioned that SMU had a home game yesterday. Sad.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

Hmmm...I can only speak for what was on Ch. 8, but they led their sportscast at 6 p.m. with a nice hilite package from the SMU game.
After the A&M/Nebraska game, we got the longest college hilite package again - longer than Texas or any of the Big XII schools.
I was pleasantly surprised.

How many regular season NFL touchdowns does Emmanuel Sanders have compared to McCann?

Also didn't Brad Sham do a weekly SMU show with Coach Phil Bennett?

Brad Sham and Babe Lafenberg both interviewed Bryan for quite some time tonight and McCann handled himself so well...all the players and Sham were mentioning the 'smart' play from an SMU player (infering the SMU smart guy)...reallly, really good props all day and night for SMU.
You know HS players took note and watched all of this and if they hadn't thought of SMU before...hmmmmmm.... its all about impressions and SMU got many this weekend!
